Flu Vaccine is here!

Flu vaccine is arriving to our office -- call now to make your appointment. We cannot accomodate walk-ins.

We currently have the flu shot for those 6 - 35 months without severe egg allergy and FluMist nasal spray for those 2 years and up without asthma or other underlying medical conditions which would interfere with its use.

Welcome Dr. Messing!!

This August, we welcome Dr. Kate Messing to our practice. Dr. Messing received her B. Dr. Messing grew up in Toledo, Ohio and now resides in Chicago with her husband. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She believes that developing relationships with patients and their families is important to providing excellent medical care.

Dr. Messing will be seeing new and established patients at both our Evanston and Buffalo Grove offices.

A Letter from Dr. Downey

My Dear Patients,

After 46 years of full time practice, I will decrease my time in the Evanston and Buffalo Grove offices beginning in July. It has been a fabulous time for me, and I don't wish to stop seeing patients altogether. I will continue to see my old patients for checkups and for sick visits when I am in the office, but will no longer see new patients except for newborn siblings in families that I already care for. My hours will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, mostly in the Evanston office, although I will spend every other Tuesday afternoon in Buffalo Grove.

I will no longer work weekends, nights or morning walk-ins, but as at present, my patients will be well cared for in my absence by my many excellent partners.

I hope to keep this schedule for some years, depending on my continuing good health and how much my services are desired. What will be fun for me and my wife will be more time to travel, visit our many grandchildren and the opportunity to spend more time at our Wisconsin farm.

My sincere thanks to all the families, past and present, whom I have had the privilege of caring for over so many happy years. I am delighted to continue to serve you.

Warmly,

Dr. Downey
